Project Invention
Learning Target #1: I can create professional engineering sketches for production
Supporting Target #1: I can measure accurately with different devices
I knew how to measure with a ruler and tape measurer. I learned how to use a dial calliper.
The dial calliper was kind of hard to measure since you it's measured in the thousandths.
Now I have no trouble measuring.

Supporting Target #2: I can produce sketches that can be used for production
I learn how to make a product that is useful and productive. Thinking of building it and how to build it was hard.
Now I can build this without a problem.

Supporting Target #3: I can dimension sketches to describe a part accurately
I learned how to find the reference edge and dimension. Dimensioning is the easiest and the hardest.
Yoiu have to be very accurate and chose the right reference edge to get your product the right size.

Learning Target #2: I can use SketchUp to design create and present products
Supporting Target #1: I can use the tools to design products
I learned how to use every tool, with help and on my own. I used the arc tool to make the curves. Push and pull to get the thickness.
Circle tool to get the holes and line tool to get straight edges.

Supporting Target #2: I can use techniques to present the products I created
I learn how to use animation in Sketch Up. That is the best way to present my product.

Supporting Target #3: I can control SketchUp to meet my needs
I learned how to make my product in SketchUp. When my measures were to small I have to make it a bit bigger.
It took me awhile to fix it. Now I know how to fix my problem faster and better.

How I thought of my Innovation
The last big project in this class. It was hard to think of what to invent for someone to buy. Since you have to make it 1.5" X 1.5" X 1.5" I thought of the earphone holder but I thought it would be too hard. So I thought of doing a pencil top and a keychain but I wanted to challenge myself. At that time I was hungry and wanted a piece of bread then keep thinking of an earphone winder that looks like a piece of bread and got bitten. That's when I just stick with my first idea. I knew there were many invention of earphone holder/winder so I just made an innovation. This innovation help solve your tangling problem with your earphones.
The picture below is my innovation made in SketchUp.

Measurements, Sketches, Modeling, 3D Printing
I used the dial calliper to measure my earphone to get the right measure for my product. When I sketch my product it looks almost the same thing when I made it in SketchUp. When my hook was too small for my earphone winder I had to make it bigger. It took me awhile to figure it out. When we are done building our product in SketchUp. Our teacher printed in a 3D printer. It came out looking red and it's plastic.
Conclusion
If I were to do this product again I wouldn't do an earphone winder. I am not sure what to make but it'll be different and new.
